The evening will begin with Sparking and canapes before sitting down to an evening of Tempranillo tasting. Frank and the team at Mount Majura Vineyard will select some great examples of Tempranillo from across Spain and showcase them alongside their own current flagship. Along with the Spanish Tempranillo on the evening you will also taste the current single site Tempranillo, Rock Block, Dry Spur and Little Dam. The talented and experimental chefs from the Boathouse will then match a course to each bracket of wines. The evening will include canapes + a four course menu, with sparkling on arrival and three wines per course.
Pod Food will be hosting a wine week garden party serving wines from Mount Majura Vineyard, Mada Wines, Nick Spencer Wines and Nick O’Leary Wines. Pod Food will be serving canapes and charcuterie as well as cooking paella and a pig on the spit. All food is included in the ticket price. Come and have a taste of the wines as well as purchasing the wines by the glass or by the bottle.
Celebrating all things harvest for the 2018 Canberra Wine Week.
On Saturday the 14th of April come and celebrate our 2018 Harvest. Tastings will be available all day from 10am - 5pm.
Firstly in the morning at 10am and 11:30am take a walk through the vineyard with a focus on our Tempranillo. If you love our Tempranillo this walk gives great insight into the reasons each of our single site Tempranillo wines have different characteristics. While walking through Rock Block, Dry Spur and Little Dam you will taste the wines as well as the blended Tempranillo to finish. $15 per person for the tour, this is refunded upon wine purchases. In the afternoon on the hour every hour at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm we will be doing tours of the winery. Look at the process of how we make our wines from beginning to end. Look at the fruit that has already begun to ferment and the stage each wine is currently up to. Come on through on the day bookings not necessary.
We will be serving delicious local produce platters all day as well as some extra food offerings.
